Betta Chimaobim Edu (born October 27, 1986) is a well-rounded Nigerian politician skilled in public health, medicine, and politics. Although she primarily works as a public health specialist, she has also significantly contributed to the government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) party.
Betta Edu was suspended as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation after she allegedly diverted more than 585 million naira of public money into a personal bank account. She served as the national women leader of the All Progressive Congress. She previously held the position of Cross River State Commissioner for Health.
